Mk15 mod 4 military Practice bomb from the 1960’s. A landmark item of our store, a #1 seller for years. These were originally filled with water and sand used by the Navy for target practice. Impact fired signal-generating practice bombs. The bomb itself weighs roughly about 20 pounds, with water 60 lbs, and with sand the full 100 lbs.
Size is approximately 9″x 9″x 42″ tall. 14″ center to center between the hangers. These are genuine US military surplus, the real deal. Fins are straight for the most part with dings and dents from storage. Paint has rubbed off around the top from the cardboard storage divider.
Expect some surface rust, rubbings, storage wear. Overall great quality for its age. Made by a variety of manufacturers, most of them will be US Navy Dell Industries. Makes a great display piece or period decor.

WWII Navy Aviator –
Received this item in excellent condition. The practice bomb had all the original nomenclature stenciled clearly on the item. Looks almost brand new as the ‘inert’ color (blue) is painted nicely and still present. The practice bomb was shipped in a special cardboard box with internal cradle so the bomb would remain stationary during shipment. This special shipping box was provided by the professionals at Omaha’s! Great item and an important piece of Naval Aviation training. Highly recommend!!

This practice bomb is exactly what you need standing in the corner of your guest room when the mother-in-law comes for a visit! Seriously though, it showed up in near new condition, and looks great. If you want that unique collectible, you cannot go wrong… Worth every penny!

It’s difficult to find an inert/dummy bomb in this size/condition for this amount of money. Completely unheard of! I don’t think mine as ever touched. It looks brand new. I expected a little surface rust just form the age. Nope. Some dent? Nope. Aside from the dust, it looks like it was made yesterday. This is just an awesome item… jump on it before they’re gone!
